Rottenburgh Recorders

In 1966 the renowned recorder maker Friedrich von Huene (Boston, USA) had the chance to play and examine nearly all the original recorders kept in European museums. His work resulted in the basic model of the Moeck-Rottenburgh Baroque recorders in modern tuning, built after the instruments made by Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph Rottenburgh (Brussels, 1672-1756). These instruments remain reliable and easy to play even after extensive use. All in 442Hz tuning. The Bass is also available in a=415Hz.

Moeck Rottenburgh recorders are made of various woods, with Baroque fingering, in three pieces, all models with double-holes and double-keys respectively.

Rottenburgh Interchangeable Bass
The Rottenburgh bass recorder is available in oiled and stained Maple with two middle joints for pitches of a=442Hz or a=415Hz. The second middle joint can also be purchased later.

Prices include a case, cleaning rod, cork grease and fingering chart.
