Susato Reeds
We are very prod to offer our new Susato Reeds to the early music community.
George Kelischek has expended a tremendous amount of effort to engineer a long lasting, reliable (unlike cane reeds) and
affordable reed. They are wonderfully responsive and require less air pressure so they are ready that next note when you are.
The sound is wonderfully "Buzzy" and flexible. Made of polyester, a single reed can be played for many years
with proper care. We have successfully tested these reeds on intruments from many of the current makers of Crumhorns and Cornamuse out there and are confident you would enjoy playing with them in your instrument.
Check out the Media Gallery for video clips of George playing the Kelhorn!

Susato Reed Sizes
These newly developed reeds are an incredible value. They will work with many brands of capped reed instruments if the telescoping stem size matches or is adjusted to fit our reeds. They are reliable, inexpensive, responsive and sound great!
