Susato Key Retrofit
Add keys to your whistle!
On the right are shown all components of our new Susato Pennywhistle / Recorder Keys. These keys, when assembled, can be mounted to our pentatonic recorders, wide-bore recorders, or pennywhistles to alleviate problems with reaching toneholes. Larger whistle sizes are now accessible to many players who previously could not reach the lower toneholes; or only with great difficulty. The difference in playability is enormous. Susato keys are not for home assembly and mounting! They take special tools and equipment to properly install so it is necessary to mail us your instrument. The cost is $20.00 per key plus shipping. Thumbrests also prevent your instrument from rolling off the table!
Because of the great variety of whistle and recorder dimensions we cannot always predict which size of thumbrest will fit a particular instrument. The safest way is to aquire a complete set and find out which one fits best.

All of our Kildare Models are available in ivory color with laser engraving. A charge of $18 per instrument applies. We can also include your name or initials (as seen below) at no extra charge. Names or initial will be engraved on the lower back side of the instrument.
