The Dublin Models
Dublin models have a cylindrical bore and are lower in price than the tapered bore Kildare models. The -V-, -S- and -M- series Dublin whistles are one piece and can not be pitch adjusted. The lower pitch tenor Dublin -L- series whistles are two-piece and can be pitch-adjusted by pulling the joint slightly in or out.
Dublin -V- Series
One-Piece Soprano/Sopranino sizes
Instruments of the -V- series have a smaller bore diameter and therefore a softer sound than same-pitched instruments of the -S- series. Models of the Dublin -V- series are available in ivory or black color as shown on right. A thumbrest and a fingering chart are included in the price. Instruments of the -S- series have a slightly larger bore diameter and a somewhat louder sound than same-pitched instruments of the -V- series. The -S- series are our best selling one-piece models and are used a lot for "Session Playing" because of their full and bright sound. A thumbrest and a fingering chart are included in the price. Made in two sections with one or more keys. Keys can be mounted for left or right-handed playing. Please specify when ordering. Being made of two sections, the instruments are now tunable and can be carried in a much smaller package. A thumbrest and a fingering chart are included in the price. Please note:  Additional keys can be mounted onto any tonehole to make playing easier. Arthritic or crippled fingers could be enabled to play again!  On several occasions we have made pennywhistles with keys placed on all toneholes. The additional cost of only $20.00 per key is relatively small for the joy of making music again.
