Music for Soprano voice and two Bass Viols. Score and parts. "The Twa Sisters" is a composition on the text of Child Ballad #10 and tells of two sisters who are in love with the same man. The older sister jealously pushes the younger one into the sea where she drowns. Her body is discovered by a miller who makes viols out of it. The second half of the ballad is a "catalogue" of what he does with her various body parts.
