The volume was written in answer to requests of the "Tablature for Two Viols" and the "Tablature for Three Viols" users who often found themselves with no one to play with. The collection is arranged progressively in 18 different tunings and contains a brief explanation to make reading tablature easier. Collected and edited by Martha Bishop.
