Made in Arkansas by Mc Spadden, these excellent instruments meet and exceed the expectations of discriminating players. All models include a standard padded canvas case, pick, noter, instruction book and warranty information. This model has 4 strings, a flat peghead, teardrop shape with cherry top, back and sides.
The McSpadden standard dulcimers have a 28 1/2" vibrating string length and are usually tuned in the Key of D with 6 1/2 and 13 1/2 frets included. The basic setup is D-A-AA. From that setup you can use any of the common tunings. If you expect to play only in D-A-dd, we recommend ordering the bridge compensation option to optimize playability in that tuning.
