This book is designed to help children or adult beginners to understand more about the mountain dulcimer and how to make music. It is a self-instructional book for learning basic music reading as it applies to the mountain (lap) dulcimer.
Following the introductory pages, the book contains familiar songs with fret numbers, as well as strum indicators. Musical concepts and playing techniques are introduced as needed through the song literature.
It is a sure and gentle way to begin mountain dulcimer playing.
