The perfect setup for a beginning hammered dulcimer player. This 2-1/2 octave model offers a sweet, balanced sound. The Prelude model from Dusty Strings has a 12/11 configuration of main and bass bridge. The 12 treble and 11 bass course string arrangement corresponds to all the well-known instruction materials.
Multiple coats of golden hued laquer give this model a distinctive and beautiful look, setting off the natural color mahogany bridges and black and white Delrin position markers. The rails are of cherry wood, the top and back are made of Finland birch plywood.
This popular package includes: Dulcimer, regular hammers, T-handle tuning key, note indicator strips, owner’s guide book, 28" long sit-down playing leg, 4" table-top leg, and a plush-lined, black chipboard case with separate compartment for legs, hammers and wrench.
