Our most popular pennywhistles! All Kildare models have seperate head and body sections with a slightly tapered bore. They can be ptitch-adjusted by pulling the joint in or out. The purchase price includes a fingering chart, thumbrest, joint grease, and a vinyl carrying case.
The most popular key to play in is -D- so the best way to start out is with a Kildare -S- series whistle in high -D-. Economical sets of whistles are available in which a single head unit is provided along with multiple bodies for playing in different keys. Note that several keys (tonalities) are duplicated at the borders between the series. For example, we provide a -Bb- instrument in the -S- series and the -M- series. The -M- series -Bb- is louder than the -S- series because of the larger bore size. This makes for a lot of choices!
